At Bull River Farm we raise a limited number of chickens each year and the quality and care of our birds shows! We feed non-GMO grains and all the fresh grass they can eat. We believe this makes Bull River Farm chicken the best it can be. Our birds are sold as whole frozen chicken with an average weight of 4.5 pounds.
It is important that if you schedule a pickup date that you make it - because we MUST keep our chicken frozen (regulations and food safety require it!) We do not want to bring chicken back to our farm and place it back in our freezers because it becomes very difficult to ensure a constant frozen state as dictated by food safety Requirements!
LEGAL INFORMATION
Bull River Farm LLC provides pasture raised non-GMO chicken processed according to the Federal 1,000 bird exemption which allows the processing and sale of up to 1,000 birds/year without utilizing an USDA inspected facility according to SB-199.
Toby Walrath - Registered Agent of Bull River Farm LLC - is a graduate of the "Poultry Processing Under the 1,000 Bird Exemption" hands-on course provided by the Mission Mountain Food Enterprise Center and has successfully completed a 16 HOUR COURSE titled: Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) offered by FOOD NORTHWEST - an industry standard course focused exclusively on ensuring food safety.
All poultry sold by Bull River Farm LLC. is processed according to the On-Farm Poultry Processing Guidelines as described in the "On-Farm Processing Under the 1,000 Bird Exemption" manual published by the Western Extension Risk Management Education group and the Mission West Community Development Partners - May 2023.

At Bull River Farm we grow a large variety of vegetables using strict organic practices. Throughout the season we grow : Lettuce, radishes, onions, beets, green beans, carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, patty pan squash, garlic, herbs, tomatoes, hot peppers (anaheim, jalapeno, hungarian wax) bell peppers, cabbage, broccoli, snap peas, corn and much more! DOG TREATS!
Dehydrated chicken feet from our pasture raised non GMO fed chicken raised here on our farm. Not only do dogs love them, they are also good for them!
